Recipe: Banana & Chocolate Sponge Cake

 

Banana Spongecake recipe

Today, I'm gonna share with you a recipe to save one of those bananas that someone forgot they were in the pantry... well, you know...

The ingredients are easy:

  • 3 or 4 riped bananas
  • 3 eggs
  • 80g of butter or margarine
  • 250g of flour
  • 130g of sugar
  • 100g of black chocolate chips
  • 50ml of milk
  • 10g of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

And the recipe too:

  • Start by heat the oven at 190ºC.
  • Crush the bananas with a fork.
  • Put the butter (or margarine) in a saucepan till it melts.
  • Mix (preferably with a kitchen robot) the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  • Beat the eggs and add them to the mix, add the milk and the melted butter and mix again.
  • Add the crushed bananas and the chocolate chips, and then mix again to make it as homogeneus as possible.
  • Place the mix in a greased mold and bake it for 40 minutes. 
  • Let it rest till it gets cold.
     

And, that's all, as final note, keep in mind that the more riped would the bananas be, the sweeter  spongecake will be as result.
