Please, hands up anyone that hasn't come back from beach with a load of shells...
What? No one?
And... what do you do with all of them? Keep them in a canister?
Well, today I bring you an easy idea to keep all those little treasures we find in the beach.
You just need a frame with space between the background and the glass, a dark cardboard and a glue gun, and well, of course you will need a buch of shells.
Let's apply a photography concept known as Knolling, to display the shells.
First of all, take the cardboard and set a straight margin that narrows the part that the pieces will occupe, think if you want to have more or less free space around and then put stripes of washi tape to mark the margin.
After that try some different layouts with the shells inside the margins, do you want one of them stand out? Place it in the center. Are all of them similar? Place them ordered. Are all them different? Try to combine them between different sizes and colors until you find a balanced composition.
When you find the perfect layout, adjust it to the margins to make the outer square as sharp as possible and start gluing the shells with the glue gun. When the glue dries, then take out the washi tape.
And voilà!
Now you have a pretty frame with the memories of your summer all year long ;)
